Congratulations to @alexbadiu, @jbressan and Jihwan - fantastic job all around. @alexbadiu - another absolutely masterful entry (and epic writeup) that I have been borrowing liberally from for a number of my current reports in progress.
Truly awesome job by everyone on this challenge – had @haroonali1000 chosen any of the reports he cited as the winner, I truly would’ve had no quarrel with that. And there were many reports other than the ones he cited that I thought were terrific as well.
Given that we’re approaching the new year, which is always a good time to take stock, if you’ve been participating in these challenges for a while take a minute or two to do the following exercise – go back and look at your first submission and then your most recent one. I bet for nearly everyone who has participated in a number of challenges, you will see amazing growth and improvement between those two reports. I know when I did that exercise, the comparison between the two was stunning.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank @haroonali1000 for the remarkable job he’s done developing and running the challenges this year. The range of scenarios has been fantastic – each has been completely different from the last, but all of them have been real-world relevant, creative, interesting and definitely challenging. I always look forward to reading your excellent wrapups, and the community spirit and energy you’ve created around these challenges is one of the best parts of them. Well done, sir!
Haroon has given me a sneak peek at the January challenge topic, and all I can tell you is rest up, enjoy the holidays, and get ready for an awesome challenge (maybe the best topic to date) in January.
