Power BI Service Live Connection message when try to import from Power BI dataset

I have a Finance Data Model workspace with a Financial Data Model dataset.
I also have an Inventory Data Model workspace with an Inventory Data Model dataset.

I now want to try to import parts of the Finance Data Model into the Inventory Data Model.
In Power BI desktop I went to Get data and clicked on Power BI datasets

but I got this error message…

I don’t know what it means.

When I was in Excel I was able to connect to the Finance Data Model and the Inventory Data Model in the same file. I was trying to do something similar in Power BI, but ran into this problem.

Hi @BillK

You try with a blank Power BI and then connect with dataset first and then you can go ahead with creating the other connection, that will work for you.

Multiple Datasets in Same Report

Hi All, Is it possible to use Multiple Published Datasets in a single .pbix file? I.E. Pull datasets from the service into a single PowerBI Desktop file. I don’t think it is possible, but may be missing something? Cheers,
