Create a baseline sales

Hi! i am trying to build a baseline sales with historic data so i can compare it with my sales from a specific period. The historic data should grab the past 3 months or past 6 months.

I used this technic of Sam:

And it worked really good but i need to grab only 3 specific months for my sales baseline (July, August and September).
I would appreciate a lot if u can help me with it.

Thanks :slight_smile:

Hi @MiguelCruz,

You can try using MONTH instead of YEAR as below:-

  1. 3 months
    SalesL3M = CALCULATE ('Sales Forecasting'[Total Sales], DATEADD ( Dates[Date], -3, MONTH) )
  2. 6 months
    SalesL6M = CALCULATE ('Sales Forecasting'[Total Sales], DATEADD ( Dates[Date], -6, MONTH) )

If you share your sample file then forum will be able to support you more accurately.

Thanks
Mukesh
