Can App be created with reports based on multiple datasets?

Hello all,
While I was posting this question, I did see the suggestions to the old topic, How to combine different PBIX file in one app
But, it was confusing.
Can two or more different datasets(different sources) (PBIX files) be published in one workspace, And turn the Include in App option to yes . Then create the App and share the report pages from both the datasets as one single App?
Is my understanding correct?

And if it is a report that needs to be shared then the only option is to join the tables from both pbix files and then create the same visuals from both the reports and then publish in service to share it to users.
Is that correct?

A simple answer to your question is YES, I have an active App that contains three different reports, and each report has it’s own dataset.

However, with the new App experience, you will NOT be able to turn the ‘include in App’ switch to yes, that is done when you create the app, by using the “Add Content” button:
