What if parameter is grayed out for SSAS live data connection

Hello experts,

I want to get TOP N /Bottom customers using what if parameters. But that option is grayed out for my live SSAS dataset. Is there any work around for this to solve?

Hi @edna ,
From what I’ve read, live connections currently don’t support composite models like Direct Query. Since What If parameters add a table to your data model, you currently cannot do this using a live connection.
You could create a dummy table in the cube that stores the possible values of the parameter and display them in a slicer and have the user select the value they want to use.
