Just a quick shout out for the excellent overview - particularly the example illustrating the kind of what-if analysis that can be done with R - identifying correlated variables and then using a linear regression model for predictions. This is a more rigorous approach and the predictive model can be validated or adjusted in use. Very useful approach. Thanks,
