To find Latest Entry Within Group based on Latest date

I have a scenario where I need to group by each category for each AppNumber and pick the latest data and show it in pivot form.

I tried by creating multiple virtual table for each category and picking the latest entry by using earlier function but it’s got failed in case of same day scenario. Any suggestion would be really Helpful.

Thanks for the Solution.

I did in another way by grouping by AppNumber & Category by taking max(Effective date) . After that a check where max date = effective date. Expected result i need to show in table visual with others column also.
