Time comparison by average per day over two separate periods

I want to be able to compare the average sales per day for two distinct periods.

1.the average sales over a selected time period (say last 30 days)
compared to
2.the average sales over a selected period (say 180 days)

Can you direct me towards training materials in https://portal.enterprisedna.co/ that would address this?

thanks
James

@jsavage,

There’s so much overlap between the DAX time intelligence functions that there’s probably nearly a dozen different ways to do this. The two I prefer are using DATEADD or the offset functions within @Melissa’s awesome Extended Date Table.

I hope you find these helpful. Give a shout if you need any additional assistance.
