I imported a Power Pivot data model into Power BI. I am using it as a demonstration model. However, I’m getting the message “This report has not been upgraded to use the enhanced metadata format, which is required to make modeling changes.”

The original source data was tables in the excel file. I selected the copy data option when I imported the model.

If I click the Upgrade report button it tries to load the data, but wasn’t able to find the tables (I don’t really need to refresh the tables in this example)

I just want to know how to get the error message to go away. Would also like to know what the message is about.
