Split revenue over other cost center based on %

Hi all!

I have a question about how to split revenue based on a percentage of total over other cost centers or products. In this case we have three cost centers.

  1. Overall = overhead and works for all the cost centers
  2. Strategy
  3. Studio

I would like to split the hours and/or revenue of the “Overall” cost center over the cost centers, based on the percentage of the total. The table underneath makes it more clear. Someone any suggestions or sollutions?

Hi Darma,

Thank you a lot for your time. I understand the logic of the dax, but it has to be more dynamic. In this case a project has 2 cost centers, but it can be 5 cost centers aswell. (I didn’t explain that in the first place, sorry!) So for example:

Project 1: Cost Centers: Strategy and Studio
Project 2: Cost Centers: Strategy, Growth en Studio
Project 3: Cost Centers: Studio, Media, Labs.
Project 4: Cost Centers: Strategy, Growth, Studio and Labs.

I added some extra data to the file. Could you check this?

Hello @Nick1

I tried my best to get this, please find the below screenshot and PBIX file for your reference.

Note - The total is wrong this is something you can try to figure out but I feel adding Total is meaningless.
