SPC Analysis for Business Processes

Is anyone using SPC analysis to understand business processes out side of manufacturing…applying it to sales, for example. It seems to me that the concept of “normal variation” would be very valuable in trying to understand sales… your sales may be up or down, but if the movement is within the range of normal variation it doesn’t really have much meaning you can assign to it.

I totally agree, I use this concept in the stock market, and that’s the reason why I think for small investors without market impact is better to use options
