Slicer control to have vertical controller

In one of Sam’s tutorial sample projects I see a slicer like the screen-shot below.
In my slicer the actual controller where you move the dates is like a round ball whereas in the screenshot you see a small vertical bar on the line.
How can I get this?

if you want to switch from

into

Go to Format visual under General → Advanced options you can find Responsive and turn in Off
