The x-axis contains the time stamp and the y-axis contains the consumption. I want a selection option on the line chart as shown in the following picture (grey area):
So that when I select the certain area of a line chart, it gives the difference between the start and end time of the x-axis and also add up the consumption of the selected area.
I have no idea how to do that. Any help would be really appreciated. Sample file here
An possible solution might be:
use a x-axis slicer : turn Zoom Slider ON , for the X-axis, a period can be selected from the graph.
However this is not very dynamic, as a user has to set the slicer to the required period each time, for presentation it would work.
Second part of your question:

The consumption could become more visible with the Y-axis slicer, starting round the value in the beginning.
Alternative might be a measure for the period, like a rolling period. ( Datesbetween)
