Security and build rights

So with the organisation we need to split access

  • General Access
  • General Access (including secure data)
Person A will be able to see Costs etc and Person B will only be able to see Sales values and no cost info.

We have done this in the data sets by using measures that multiple cost by 1 if they have access or 0 if they have no access, This works - it is not good but it works.

We need to give a lot of users the right to build reports (composite model) using the datasets. I have checked this and this means that the person with build rights will see the underlying sensitive columns and will be able to create measures without the security. They will see the sales table has a cost column and be able to reference that in a measure.

Is there a way to force the security on people with build permissions or are they just going to see the lot when they get build permissions.
Thanks
