Reporting On Query Status / Errors

I want to be able to alert the User that one (or more) Queries did not complete successfully .

The User would then contact support who would resolve the issue(s).

BTW I am not referring to Errors on rows but rather errors in the Code that prevent The Query from successfully running - Errors like The Worksheet did not Load, Download did not complete.

I have a way of reporting errors on rows but not errors relating to the status of the Query.

I know there is an error in the attached wbk - it is provided simply for illustration.

If possible it would be great to list the Query and the Error(s).

Does anyone have ideas or a solution?

Maybe that is a question directly to the Microsoft Power Bi team.

Did you check out YouTube? I typed in the search bar within Youtube. "power bi error within a file producing error in power query " there was some videos that came up. Might give you some ideas.

Thanks Keith for the Idea. I did contact the PowerBI team and their only suggestion was teh email notification when using PowerBI.

However I need to use Power Query in Excel and all they could suggest was public forums… :frowning:

Your best bet is to look into a VBA driven solution.
