Repeating Dates

I am having trouble with repeating dates. In Power BI for dates in the sales table it shows just the single day when looking at a visual, which is correct. When I bring in an excel file it shows the date multiple times.

I have different customer IDs that have all bought on the same day.

How do I keep the information but make it to where the dates aren’t repeating?

The sales table has multiple orders on the same day, but when looking at it, it just shows the total for that day.

I hope this makes sense. Thank you for any help.

Your fact tables will always have multiple dates for different customers.

In your visual it would only produce one date depending on what you want to show.

Hi @michael.gyure - I am not clear on the question, if you want to display data for single order and not combined/sum then you can drag the Order Id column in the visual and use Don’t Summarize for the Order Id if it’s a number. Or you can add Customer ID as per your requirement.

Once added, you will get same date repeated for Different Order Id/Customer ID in the visual.

IF this is not what you are looking for, then please explain the problem in bit more detail.

What columns in your fact table are related to the date column of your date table?
