Relationship cardinality issues

Hi there,

I created a KEY to match between fact table (orders) and dim table (geography). I attached sample in excel and PBI. I don’t get it why I can’t make it One to Many (1:*) - see below snapshot saying it’s an invalid relationship:

For instance, for this specific KEY 104MI Japan4010JP_MI_Japan I have 501 orders in my fact table:

Anyone here can help me getting this sorted? Thank you very much team.

join issues.pbix (1.9 MB)

@SamSPAIN Geo Key in Geo Mapping Table isn’t a Primary key or a column with just unique values so Power BI can’t treat that column as Primary Key.

you’re absolutely correct - sorry my bad that I forgot to triple check… issue is that I wanted to keep a VERY granular dim table but then it was compromising the model.

It’s great to know that you are making progress with your query @SamSPAIN .
