This is a small user question so I hope someone can help.
The data sits on Sharepoint.
The pbix file sits on my PC.
When a user edits the data on Sharepoint and they click the Dashboard refresh button, she tells me it isn’t refreshing.
For the refresh to work, does the pbix file have to be on Sharepoint as well. Then do I have download to make changes and then upload it again to Sharepoint?
Or what do I have to do to get this to work?

I think the following video might help in what you are looking for:
Your PBI doesn’t need to be on the sharepoint. If she can refresh without getting an error, there is probably nothing wrong with the file location, but maybe with connecting to the right file. Double check whether you are connected with the correct file. For example, if you refresh it yourself, is the data updated?

Yes! It was a permissions thing - the SharePoint is the SharePoint of the compmany I did the work for - and when the video showed me where to click, I managed to get the Refresh pane to open! Thank you SO MUCH. Once again, EDNA has ‘saved me’!
She couldn’t refresh… that was the problem. But it’s sorted.
