Power BI desktop file is connected directly to a DB and I am able to refresh with no errors
Power BI enterprise gateway is failing due to the following error “Column ‘X’ in Table 'Y ’ contains a duplicate value ‘1367’ and this is not allowed for columns on the one side of a many-to-one relationship or for columns that are used as the primary key of a table”
I have checked and there is no duplicate of ID 1367 and even if there was the desktop version should fail. Any suggestions?
A few things you could do here. You could first try to clear the Data Cache and Q&A Cache. You could turn off the “Auto Detect Relationship Function”
Also you could delete the row in the database as a workaround and that would let you refresh the data.
Thanks- I will try and update but wouldnt clearing the cache still mean it would fail on desktop refresh as an issue?.
It just seems strange that Power BI desktop refreshes directly from a postgres DB but via the enterprise gateway which connects virtual machine to database i get this error. Also its annoying because as the virtual machine is on azure i am reliant upon external IT.
