Couldn’t agree more !!
We all know how powerful external tools are especially, DAX Studio and Tabular Editor but, still, our organization doesn’t allow the use of any external tools 
Although we have a work-around of using a remote desktop to do so, again that’s not a very efficient way because for reconciliation and quality checks as not everyone has access to the remote desktop.
This leads us to use the amazing external tools only when no choice is left.
