Power Bi Visual incorrect values

Hi ,

Just wondering if there is any way to figure what is going on.

I am a simple model, one to many relationship . Power bi connected to cube.

i have a table but noticed that the total figures is not the same with what i have in my cube and SQL DATABASE.

my data type is whole number and in the SQL database is int.

sometimes the figures looks correct but when i load new data, the figures jumps.

i try to clear the cache still no luck, will appreciate any hint

Hi @alora101,

Does this blog post help you: https://blog.enterprisedna.co/why-your-total-is-incorrect-key-power-bi-concept/

Hi Marcster,

Not at all. i am just doing a simple SUM(MEASURE) Then place in a table along side two metrics where they are broken down by a single category ( state).

funny enough, when i filter for year 2020, the data is correct but when it is 2019, i get incorrect data. strange

Hi All,

Any help on this.

I decided to truncate the data and load the excel file again then push data to the cube and refresh

This time, the figures increases more so it seem every time i refresh the cube, i get additional figures ?

I need help please

@alora101,
You have to check tables individually to find the bug here.
some hints for you,

  • Check values in individual tables, if the values are same problem is not in table values.

  • Then check for relationship. Check the values after adding relationship one by one against cube.
    Thanks!
