Pin icon shows up in report but not in app

Hi @SamMcKay ,
I’m trying to foster the utilization of the maybe most unseen and unused features on Power BI, the dashboards!

I want my consumers to start building their own dashboards using pieces of reports my team develops and deploys.
Sometimes though the Pin icon shows up only in the report and not in the app (our rule is to provide access only to apps).
This is what the report shows in the service

but when it’s exposed in the app it’s grayed out

All header icons are on.

Most weird is this happens only on some visuals (I just use stocks).

Why is that?

HI @Roberto,

In order for other to help you, EDNA is recommending that you don’t directly state a name. It discourage other to help.

In general, you may find it helpful to review the Publish an app in Power BI best practice guide that was published or updated on 5/2/2023. At a minimum, having a punch list based on this document and those in the Collaborate, share, and integrate across products with Power BI - documentation resources help to keep things working and identify when there is an issue.
