PBI Service Insists on Gateway Personal Mode

I have an PBI Service application that contains two data files

  1. A large transaction file resident in a PostgreSql database on Amazon AWS.
  2. A small text file that is on my laptop which is not refreshed.

I have used Gateway standard for the large file. However, PBI Service insists on having a Gateway Personal set up which causes problems because it is not accessible when my laptop is switched off.

Any thoughts most welcome.

maybe have it interact with onedrive or dropbox instead of your laptop?

Thanks for that. Now why did I not think of that?

Onedrive is the choice as there is a documented methodology plus I have a Onedrive for business account.

I have done as you suggested using Onedrive but I have one issue.

When I try to create the data source for the file it will not accept the credentials. I entered them exactly as for the Onedrive account but it will not accept them.
