PBI desktop does not pull full data from dataflows

Hi all,

I am stumped and need help. I have created a report in desktop based on dataflow in service. The dataflow is scheduled to refresh daily. I publish the desktop report in the workspace and from there create an App for users to view the report.

When the dataflow refreshes, all the data doesn’t refresh, only partial. See example below. In image #1, is the RFP Date from the dataflow that goes to 4/7/2023 which is 1250 rows. In image #2, from the desktop, the RFP Date is incomplete. It shows only 564 rows when I counted the rows. What could possibly cause this issue? It only happens for this report.

Thanks for your insight and help.

Image #1 - from dataflow Shows 1250 rows

Image #2 - from desktop report shows only 564

Hi @ysherriff - Haven’t faced this issue before. There are few similar questions on Power BI Community, do check if any helps.

Thanks Ankit. I just uploaded made a copy if the dataflow and upload again and it worked.

Much appreciated.

Hi,
I am experiencing the same issue. My scenario is that thousands of rows per day. and on a given day, i have notice that 14 rows are missing.

well all the rows need to be accounted for. There are other SQL report within the company using the same data, and getting the correct numbers however the numbers in my power bi report seem to be a bit off. and that’s because of this randomly missing data.

I think its important to find out what could be causing this. If power bi starts missing the data randomly, the credibility of our reports is lost.

I have refreshed my desktop file a few times and data is still missing. besides this , the report that has been published and made available to users through an app is also missing this data.

I’d really appreciate Any ideas and thoughts on this.

my issue currently is unresolved.
