Overlapping backdrops on tables Question

Hi All,

I’ve been following your data visualization tutorial and seem to have an issue.

I’ve created a table that sits on top of a backdrop (Color).

If for some reason the user accidentally selects the backdrop, the backdrop overlaps the table completely.

Just wanted to know if there was a way to avoid the overlapping and how can i go about rectifying the issue?

Yes this does occur and no way to change it by using the shapes unfortunately.

Another way you can do it that prevents that is to use background design plates.

Here’s an example of what I mean

There are certainly ways to position these so the user is less likely to select them. Just need to play around with them to make sure that it doesn’t happen.

Another way is to use the background of the visuals and tables to create the shapes. This eliminates the issue as well

Thanks Sam.

I’m going to follow your tutorial for the background plates and see how i go.
