Tried this practice in the learning summit on customer Insights . But my SALES LY and
SALES TY vs LY still show the same value.
How do I resolve this .

Thank You for posting your query onto the Forum.
The reason why it might be showing the same numbers is because you don’t have any date context into the table i.e. any date field or don’t have any date slicer onto the page. Once you insert the date context either directly into the table visual i.e. in terms of date or if you put the date slicer onto the page and make selections into it you will see that numbers will start to differ.
Below is the example showcased where when nothing is selected numbers are same.
But now, when we make selection into the slicer the numbers will start to change. Below is the screenshot provided for the reference -
