Hello,

I would like to ask for your support in creating correct measure.
The task is to calculate the cost to be paid per device per month.
We have commission 6,5% and compare it to minimum rent.
If commission is lower then rent, we pay rent, if above we pay commission.
Attached represents the logic:
In Jan highlighted device haven’t reached rent minimum, but it done it on Feb

My current (incorrect) measures are as follows:

And SUMX to represent correct totals:

Now the problem is that I haven’t specified the fact that logic should apply to data related to months.
So, if I remove months filter from columns, I will end up with no added 74zl due to the fact that value of commissions for those 2 months doesn’t surpass rent value.

Any ideas how this can be resolved?

That would be great If you can add a demo PBIX file so that we can see the Data Model.
But try this measure for your Cost SUMX .

Cost SUMX = 
  SUMX (
            SUMMARIZE ( 'ATM master', 
                        'ATM master'[ATM ID],
                        'Dates' [Month], 
                        "rent_new", Rent[Cost]), 
            [rent_new] )

If i does work. Please mark this a solution. Otherwise, try to send us a pbix demo so that we can see how your model is structured.

Unfortunately solution didn’t do the trick.
I’ll provide more details on case including masked file this weekend, so please do not close the thread just yet. I appreciate you help so far
