Logging into Power BI desktop

I have one user who for some reason has to repeatedly log in to use Power BI Desktop.
They have a Pro license.
They open up power BI desktop (for me every time I open desktop it logs me in automatically)
She has to sign in as Power BI does not recognise her straight away?
It asks for her details about three times before recognising her.

Is there a reason why this is so difficult for her?
She is connected to the corporate network everything else like teams and Outlook recognise her?

Seems Weird
Thanks
E

I occasionally have this issue myself, and yes on an office network. For my situation, the only thing our IT team has been able to figure out is that a few years ago I was instructed to sign up for OneDrive PERSONAL using my office login (we were testing something). Now it seems that I have two profiles using that same idea, one that is personal, and one that is business. This occasionally confuses my software systems, and PowerBi seems most likely to get confused.

Or, it could be because I technically have two Microsoft licenses, one on my desktop (Office 365), and one on the virtual network (Office 2016). And both of these use the same login information.

Perhaps you have some similar type of issue going on here? Although my system doesn’t hit me up for new login information EVERY time (it did for a while with one of the 2020 updates - but that’s not an issue currently).

@Heather
Thanks, I was suspecting something like this was going on. I noticed the users One Drive had an issue and was not updating then I discovered the user has had a different ID in the past.

Thanks for the info I wont worry too muh about this now.
Thanks
Mark

happy to help :slight_smile: perhaps some day MS will let us truly deactivate those old IDs
