Like for Like Comparison for same customers/stores

LfL Sample Data.xlsx (13.2 KB)
Hi All,

I would like to create DAX dynamic formula that compares like-for-like data (sales) for last year for each stores and category of stores. The exclusions are the stores that were closed last year or newly opened stores this year.

Please see attached excel file that provides the logic. I have tried the following logic, but it doesn’t work when I go to the store group level. I have the relevant DAX formulas copied below. The PBIX file is a very large dataset and various connections so I am keeping it simple to explain here.

Like for Like Store Sales = if([Store Sales LY]>0,[Store Sales],0)
Store Sales = sumx(‘Fact Sales Database’,‘Fact Sales Database’[Sales Value])

Many thanks for your help.
