Issues with DAX / Modeling?

Hi all,

I’m working on a financial report and once of the pages will contain a Balance Report. There are 5 different companies (called Administraties) and it must be possible to select one of them via the on page slicer and then the balance should only show the figures for that company.

The balance result contains the Openingvalues for the beginning of the year and then adds the mutation in this year to it.

And there is one calculated value in de balance (the current year result, calculated as Resultaat with a manually added Account number 9999) to make sure the balance will be equal to the Debit side of it.

This all works fine when no selection is made in the slicer, but when you select only 1 company, it will keep showing the total result for all companies. This will off course show an incorrect number.

To solve this, I have tried to calculate the Result in a different way and as you can see in the table on the right, and this gives the total result in a breakdown per Company. But I can’t get this new measure working in the final view I need for the report.

I think I need to change something in DAX or in the model itselves but I’ve already tried a lot of things, but all not giving the expected result :frowning:

It would be great if somebody can point me into the right direction to get this working…

Kind regards Marieke

Hey Marieke,

Hope you are doing well,
Solution for your ask, PFA pbix file .
Keep below point in consideration.
There is no specific conditional formatting available for total columns.
based on other Table visual I created the solution.
Hope it will be helpful for you!
if it works you can group both visual together.

Hi Pankaj,

many thanks for your reply. However, I think I was not clear enough about what I 'm looking for…
The problem i have is in this amount:

When you select one of the companies from the slicer, for example company 164442, this amount should be changed to -50.958 instead of -383.999.

In your solution it is still calculating with that total amount of 383k for every company…

Kind regards, Marieke
