Issue with funnel chart using Deneb

Hi All,
I’m trying to use Deneb to build a funnel chart.

I was able to build a template using internal data.

A template with internal data shows exactly what I need. Simple but effective.

Issues come when I try to replace internal data with data from a dataset.
The problem seems to be on Y and Y2 calculation. They seem correct but they are not.

This is the simple dataset from Power BI

.

I’m attaching the two templates hoping for some help.

Thanks,
Roberto

Hi @Roberto. My first thoughts are its a data or modelling issue. Please upload your work-in-progress PBIX with sample or obfuscated data and I’ll pursue further.

Hi @Greg,
I’ve removed all data but that is required for the visualization.
Applying the template I got the same result.
I’m trying to learn how to use Deneb, and your course has been very useful.
I’d like to foster Deneb in my team, but before I need to get some confidence.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Roberto

Hi @Roberto.

I used the heat lane example from the Vega-Lite website as a reference and came up with this:

The main issue was that you were not using ranged bars (i.e., with both y and y2 values) around a middle value. Once the calculations were made, the encoding was adjusted accordingly.

Hope this helps.
