How to generate a month column in Power BI sorted correctly

Hello,

Does anyone here know how to create a month column in PBI Desktop, so it shows the month names which are sorted in the correct order (January, February, and so on). I know how to do this with Excel PowerPivot Tables with the custom sort dialog-box but can’t seem to find it in PBI Desktop. I’m wondering if this could be done with DAX or M?

All you need to do is click on the data icon as shown in picture below and add a monthsort column.

Then go to the Modeling Tab at the top and click on the Sort by Column Icon and choose the monthsort column that was just created.

Then as a best practice right click on the monthsort column and hide it.
