not sure if anyone knows the answer to this question…
I did go through this portal and searched online but do not have an answer to this:
I created a workspace and now would like to point to the pbix files in sharepoint
From the workspace, I believe there should be a button for Get Files which allows me to point to sharepoint files but I do not see this button. I do have pro license.
Any suggestions where to find this button so that I can point to the pbix files?

I can find the sharepoint folder in desktop. get file and do a search for sharepoint

Please note that my query is not related to desktop, however, it is related to the service where I would like to create deployment pipelines. And it is here that I do not see the [Get Files] button.
could it be that power bi has been updated and does not have button while creating the deployment pipelines?

I have no idea on that question… i doubt it because sharepoint has been part of it for a long time
So this is about how to build a deployment pipeline and not how to get data using the web connector from SharePoint Online:
You need to upload whatever objects and their dependencies to the Workspace you are going to use in the deployment pipeline. This is handled in the Workspace by changing to the Workspace and Uploading from the top menu.
Are you following the guidance in the Introduction to deployment pipelines, and note that deployment pipelines are moving to Fabric. There is an update Introduction to deployment pipelines that applies.
Always, always remember these Limitations.
• You must be an admin of the workspace.
• The workspace isn’t assigned to any other pipeline.
• The workspace must reside on a Premium capacity.
• To assign a workspace, you need at least workspace member permissions for the workspaces in its adjacent stages. For more information, see Why am I getting the ‘workspace member permissions needed’ error message when I try to assign a workspace?
• You can’t assign a workspace with Power BI samples to a pipeline stage.
• You can’t assign a template app workspace.
