Hi,
Page Navigation Issues.pbix (15.7 MB)
The report above was developed by Mudassir Syed Rashid Ali.
I observed that when I navigate from one page to the other and back to the page I just came from, the Navigation Menu stays over the report. Users would like the pane to collapsed when they return back to the same page they navigated from. Is there a way to fix this bug? As a user, I’d like that when I navigate to a page, e.g, Tickets Composition, when I navigate back to that same page the Navigation pane is collapsed. Any help with this will help
Thank you
Hi @upwardD
So for example, you’re on the Home menu. When you navigate to Tickets Created, currently the menu is open and you’d like it to be closed?
I see that you’ve got each set-up as a bookmark, if you change your menu buttons to go to a specific bookmark rather than a page that should work I believe?
Thanks for the reply. Did that work for you, please? It would be helpful if you shared your file.
Thank you
Ended up going a different way. I’ve renamed your bookmarks so they are clearer, and changed the menu buttons to go to the bookmark for that page with the menu hidden rather than the page itself, seems to do the trick.

Something to keep in mind when using bookmarks, the state of the page can be included in the bookmark, not just the page itself.
When setting up a bookmark, there are three checkbox options that are often ignored by users that don’t use them often:
Data - check to keep page filters, drill-down state, or even column sorting that the user has set
Display - check to use to hide visuals on a certain page (such as the floating menu)
Current Page - used to control navigation between pages
here is what Microsoft has to say about these settings:
