Enable External Tools

My External Tools ribbon used to be enabled, but I just realized that it is now disabled. I honestly don’t know why or when this changed.

How do I enable it?

Thanks Keith. That actually didn’t because those directions appear to be from an old post. There is no settings icon in the top right corner of Desktop. There is in Service, just not Desktop. The options and settings are in the File Backstage View. But I finally found how to enable it…

After I downloaded the external tool that I wanted (Bravo in my case), I had to close my Power BI Desktop and reopened it. Now I have the External tools ribbon. Oorah!

perfect, as long as you figure it out… closing and reopen does help :slight_smile:

Yeah…It’s like unplugging and plugging back in the TV. :grinning:
