Deneb/Vega Gantt - add Quarter button

Hi everyone,

I’m working on adding a Quarters button alongside the existing Days, Months, and Years time period buttons in David Bacci/s Gantt 2.0.

While I’ve made some progress, there are still clearly some issues as shown in the screenshots, where I could really use some insights from the community. Here’s what I’ve observed:

  • The Months button doesn’t seem to work at all
  • When click, Months and Quarters stick together and behave like a single button (both act like Quarters)
  • When wheel to zoom, it goes in the wrong order: day-quarter-month-year; the gridline and tick change incorrectly, while the top and bottom labels work fine.

I want to fix both Months and Quarters, so that when click and wheel, the gantt chart clearly switches to the respective month and quarter views, and transition in correct order.

I’ve attached my PBIX file. I appreciate any advice, pointers, suggestions!

Hi @ZoeZ. My experience is almost exclusively with Vega-Lite and as your issue is with Vega code, I’ll leave it to other forum members to pursue. Greg
