Demo to connect PowerBi to an ERP SAP system

Hi,

I’m new to the forum and I’m starting with a very vague question.
A potential customer has asked me if I could demo PowerBI working with an ERP SAP system. I’ve never connected one before, I’m sure it’s possible, but have never done it.
I was wondering if there are any Demo environments out there I could use for such a demo or what would any of you suggest for such a demo?

Hi @Noell

If data is from SAP BW or SAP HANA, you can directly connect from Power BI.

If the data is from SAP ECC system, then we don’t have direct connector.

We can ask SAP technical team to create a background jobs to export data from SAP ECC to flat files(.csv or .xlsx or .txt…)… from there we can connect Power BI.
