Hi All

First of all thanks for letting me join the forum. I would appreciate some expert help on an issue I currently have. This is my first time posting so please advise if I have missed anything.

I am currently trying to create a report where the requirements are as below:

  1. Report to show top, mid and bottom customers within a reporting unit. This needs to be dynamic to show last 12 months of profits for selected current month and previous month side by side and includes dynamic no of customers which falls into the category. In summary the report needs to be dynamic so when top is selected both no of customers and profits is shown.

  2. I have created a parameters table which breakdowns margin % into groups and I have also calculated measures for last 12 months of profits. I then used dynamic segmentation to calculate no of customers. This works when selecting a particular group in the parameter table slicer but I cannot work out how to use the parameter table to calculate both no of customers and profits.

Are you able to send out PBIX file you are working on? Without that it is really hard to came up with anything

Thanks for replying. I am not sure how I should upload the file as I am working with live power bi datasets. What’s the best way to share PBIX files in this situation? Thanks.

Do you mean that you are connected to published dataset? If this is a direct query, then you can’t, if this is an indirect then you can just save PBIX file, the data will be saved with it.

But if this is your’s company’s confidential data, then don’t! Prepare perhaps some made up data that would just represent the issue.

But without a sample data it is hard to do anything because it all depends on how your data model looks like
