Data model ( promotion table )

Hi every one ,
could you please help me with the problem related to data model . i have table promotion to be related to tab facture( invoice) but we have d
uplicates so i am strugle with M:M relation ship.

I taken a look at your data model. Its really confusing what are fact tables and what are dimension tables.

could the two tables be combine instead of two separate tables?

Did you take any of the courses within EDNA learning portal?

Hi @ayari ,

It seems like you need to consider what is the granularity for this process

to solve Promotion N :N Facture relationship

For example:

  • is it product on facture that can be on 1 promotion ?
  • if not - what else need to be unique - facture order line ?
  • etc.

in my case the product can be in multiple promotion ( differrent date of promotion). i am working to find a unique key , but with no result.

maybe following questions can help:

  • From your last post I didn’t figure out - on the same time (on one Date for example today) - product can be in one 1 or more promotion ?

  • How the promotion is physically presented on the bill / facture ?

The problem was solved by combining the two tables.
