Comprehensive JSON theme file

I have been working to set visual properties using a JSON file beyond just colours and fonts. For example, I often turn off most visualization headers and axis titles and turn on data labels, so I would like this to be the starting point for my visuals.

The image below shows the default appearance based on my current theme, which is getting close to what I am looking for. However, this has been cobbled together using bits I found on the web and lots of trial and error.

Questions:

  • Is there a comprehensive JSON file for Power BI themes on the forum?
  • Perhaps it would be helpful to build a library of JSON files. Is that something that could be done on the forum?

I have included my current file below.

Thanks,

Fred Bevan

Basic Blue Theme.json (7.2 KB)

Hi @FredBevan. There are so many possibilities with JSON theme files that a library of options would likely just be a starting point. I often use the Power BI.tips Theme Generator to create a shell (or hopefully final) JSON theme file, then adjust as desired if necessary.

Hope this helps.
Greg

Thanks Greg!

Yes, the Power BI.tips Theme Generator site is a great resource. Hopefully, they keep adding more properties for the visualizations!

I also found some property settings at this site:
