Color formatting in Visio Visual

I got a diagram in Visio. A diagram is the sketch of the building. I am using Visio visual to display three types of information (i.e. no of events, $ loss in event, probability of event happening again) on the diagram. Each type of information is encoded in a measure. I created a slicer that is used to select the measure (or type of information) to display on the Visio visual.

I am having issues with color formatting. Because each type of information has different range of values. For example, no of events is a whole number which can got in hundreds whereas $loss in events range goes up to ten of thousands. Similarly, the value of probability of the event happening is between 0 and 1.

Is there any way of setting up the color formatting of Visio visual according to the type of selected measure?

Bumping this post for more visibility.

wondering how does visio visual interact with power bi? like to see the power bi file. file not attached

I can attach the pibx file. Visio visual is hosted in local intranet. I dont think it will be opened outside the network. Here is the snapshot of the visual. I could not find any option of using measure for color formatting

Hi @leo_89. I think it would be a good idea to create a sample PBIX and Visio that you can upload for the forum members to review. I, myself, have been immersed in Power BI daily for almost 3 years now, and this is the first time I’ve looked at the Visio Visual custom visual; I’d guess many other forum members are in a similar position.

i agree @Greg…they always forgetting to load files for people to review and they expect you to answer right away without any information to look at.

the options color will likely have to be done directly in visio software instead of power bi

@Greg I have included the sample file and the visio diagram. Sample file
sample_tiles.pbix (3.8 MB)
Visio file:
Aurora Supply Zone Hex Tiles DP (1).vsdx (133.9 KB)

Hi @leo_89. I tried to open your file, and while the PBIX opens fine, it appears that infrastructure and/or permissions are preventing me from integrating the Visio diagram into the Visio Visual. I may be wrong, but it seems that the Visio diagram must be hosted on OneDrive for Business; I tried to upload it to my instance of OneDrive, and while I could see the diagram online, I could not reference the URL in the manner needed by the visual. I got the following error message:

Not sure where to go from here, but perhaps if you create a sample that illustrates your issue, with both the PBIX and Visio being fully local to your machine, then forum members would be able to view the Visio Visual custom visual correctly and pursue your issue.
