Budget Allocation - granularity

Hello - I am trying to use Sam’s Budget Allocation 2 formula from one of the videos.

The formula works fine at the Qtr and Month level. But I am not getting any daily granularity…except for the very first day of each month. It’s allocated one day (first day of the month) with what would be the correctly apportioned amount across 30 (or 31) days…but the rest of the days are blank.

My budget table is at the monthly level like this:

Jan 125,000
Feb 200,000
Mar 225,000
etc…

Hello @richmont,

Thank You for posting your query onto the Forum.

In order to allocate the budget amount at a day level granularity I’m providing few of the links below of the articles as well as videos that will help you. Also you can go through the course that’s available onto our education portal.

Hoping you find this useful and meets your requirements that you’ve been looking for. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks and Warm Regards,
Harsh

Yes, I have seen those videos, but unfortunately still not able see any daily granularity. I have even downloaded the sample power bi report.

Hello @richmont,

Not sure than where you’re facing the problem actually since the videos covers almost all the aspect.

I’m attaching the working of my PBIX file for the reference that includes the Budget formulas while I was practicing.

If this doesn’t solve your problem than please upload your PBIX file so that members of our forum can assist you in a better and efficient manner. Since right now, only guess work is going on which takes up the time of the forum members to judge and provide the results without looking at the data.

Thanks and Warm Regards,
Harsh
