Advance Card custom visual - how to set conditional format based on ranges?

Hello,

I am trying to setup conditional formatting for the Advance Card custom visual from MSFT App Source. This visual allows for (I think) up to 6 conditions to be set for formatting the card. I’d like the background to change based on the measure’s range of data points:

< 65% - - Green

= 65% up to 85% - - Yellow
85% up to 100% - - Orange
100% > - - Red

I am not sure this is possible with this visual. It works well if I set just the first two conditions as < 65 and > = 65, but once I try to add more conditions then what should be Orange and Red just stay as Yellow. There is no “in-between” condition, only these 5 are available: <, <=, =, >, >=.

Please advise if I am not using this visual correctly, or if there is a better way to achieve this with a different solution such as deneb or charticulator.

Thanks!
Steve

Hello @s_schwantes,

Thank You for posting your query onto the Forum.

Well, how the members of the forum will come to know which custom visual you’re using in your report without providing the actual name of that visual.

Anyways, not sure about that visual options but the native card visual in Power BI allows you to set-up more than 6 conditions, if that’s the case.

Below is the screenshot provided for the reference -

I’m also attaching the working of the PBIX file for the reference purposes.

Hoping you find this useful and meets your requirements.

Thanks and Warm Regards,
Harsh

Conditional Formatting in a Card Visual - Harsh.pbix (657.5 KB)

Hi @s_schwantes … you can do whatever you want with Deneb; one does, though, need specific requirements. If you can provide a small example dataset in a PBIX file with the visuals that are “incorrect” and a screenshot or Excel mockup of exactly what you are looking for in your cards, the forum members will have more information for their review.

Harsh,
Thanks very much for pointing out this native solution. I didn’t need the custom visual after all. BTW the custom visual name is “Advance Card” and can be found on app source here:

Thanks!!
