Unpivotting multiple "dual columns"

Hi @Rajesh,

I agree, the difference remains negligible though
IMO both solutions work equally well. Just illustrates to me that there are so many different approaches possible in Power Query. All we have to do is explore

Hi @EnterpriseDNA,

> did the response provided by @Melissa, @Heather and @Rajesh help you solve your query?

Initially I went with Melissa’s solution. But as I have 8 column pairs the custom code got a bit tedious. In the end I selected Heather’s solution, nice and simple. So yes, they definitely helped me.

Truthfully though I am am still struggling. I haven’t fully grasped the concept around unpivoting as I have a new problem and haven’t been able to solve it using the logic which Heather and Melissa have shown me. I’ll post it in a new thread with new files, but again there is duplication which throws all my other (non pivotted) data out.

New thread coming up.

Hi @michellepace,

If at all possible try to have the set up identical to your “real life” situation, like query- and column names, everything else can be dummy data - this will make transitioning an M code solution easier.
