Related Column from Referenced Tables

Hi all,

I have 2 referenced tables that get loaded into my model. Table1 contains unpivot data with a Date column, and Table2 contain the raw data with no dates (date are concatenated in horizontal columns). Both tables have a relation via the index column.

From PQ, I was trying to add the date column to table2, but when I try to merger table2 with table1, I keep getting the error of using the relationship due to duplicate index ids.

So I thought Dax could solve the problem. Any input is much appreciated.

Hi Hesham,

Patrick at Guy in a Cube covers this nicely in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlu99RUtMRY&t=320s

I’ve attached the your PBIX to with the dates columns from Table 1 to Table 2. Test1.pbix (99.2 KB)

I hope this helps.
