Referencing Values within Visual

Hello everyone. I’m coming to you from the USA!

I will attach my PBIX if needed after I sanitize the data a bit but I think that this is more or less helping me understand the ALL-related functions and it’s just not clicking in my head.

On the picture I’ve attached - I am trying to have a few (but not all) of the cost codes referenced that do not show a value in the Tot Qty Completed CMR Forced measure to show a value from a row of data that I need to have it force in a value from one of those that has a value.

For example in the measure formula, if the CurrentItem is “034160 - Flatwork-Saw Cut Joints”, I want the DAX formula to force in the value from “034155 - Place & Finish Concrete” (in this case 464,635). If it does not match that (or any of the others) then it falls back to the prior measure, [Tot Qty Completed CMR].

We want to force this in to help complete the analysis on this report but it is measuring items that are not discretely calculated on the source data…a kind of level of effort if anyone’s come from the Earned Value Management world.

You’ve to change the context…Try this

SawCutForcedValue = CALCULATE( [Tot Qty Completed CMR], FILTER(All(CostCodeList[Cost Code & Description]),CostCodeList[Cost Code & Description] = “034155 - Place & Finish Concrete”))

That did it! I knew I was close but the FILTER w/ ALL was one that I had not come across yet in my work. Thank you for your help!
