Slightly amusing timing, today I persuaded my boss to use an on page date filter for one of our reports so our users donât have to scroll down forever to reach the most recent dates like they did when it was housed in the filter pane. Better UX now!
since you mention that you are still training your users, one thing to note is training them on the use of the Search at the top of the filter pane. You may need to enable this for your users, but believe me, itâs a lifesaver if you have a bunch of filters in the Filter Pane:
item three in the above screenshot is optional, but I find it useful to allow my users to change between filter types in the filter pane (ex. switching to advanced to find all items with a given prefix)
