Circular Dependency on Calculated Columns

Hello

I have read all the other forum postings on circular dependencies but I can’t find a scenario like mine.
My client forecasts quarterly and the headcount table populates as the year progresses. The dashboard contains a slicer where they can select F1, F2 or F3 and see data at that point in time so the headcount needs to reflect different time ranges as follows;
F1 = Jan-Mar
F2 = Jan-Jun
F3 = Jan-Sep

I tried to do this with three calculated columns which gives me the circular dependency, I tried measures but I can’t get the correct result, would be grateful of any pointers, thanks Lizzie
